Welcome back to Term 4!

We have just had a change around with emails at school which has effected my access to the blog. I think I have now fixed it so hopefully there will  more regular updates and posts. my email address is still

Lego Technics

This week for topic we have been creating inventions with Lego technics.

Our desk box inventions

For topic we have been talking about inventions and inventors. We decided to invent something that would stop us getting distracted in class. We came up with the idea of having a box around our desk. here is some of them.

Homework!

I have been so impressed with the standard of the homework tasks that have been coming in. Well done Room 6! 

Remember to get the homework reward at the end of the term you need to have completed at least 4 tasks.

Ski/ Skate Day

Just a reminder that ski/skate day is tomorrow (Thursday 22nd August).
Check your notice for details about each event.

If you are not going skating or skiing then you are expected to come to school. Meet in room 9, with Miss Barker. You will be just having a fun day at school.

I hope the skiers have lots of fun. Keep safe and good luck over the day.

I will see the skaters at the ice rink tomorrow!

Turbo Touch

Today we had Turbo Touch. The guy who took it was really funny. Have a watch to see what we got up to!

Lamb and Calf Visit

This morning, Mrs Hood came to school with Amelia's lamb and calf. We loved having them visit.

Kath Bee Performance

This morning we had Kath Bee do a performance for us in the hall. Kath is a children's singer/songwriter. 

She has written some of our favourite school songs like

- I've got Dragons under my bed

- Individuality

- Dad I want to be a Camel

If you watch the video carefully you will be able to see some Room 6 faces up the front helping her out with actions.

Japanese students visit

This morning we had some Japanese students visit this morning. They played a game with us

Yesterday we did art. We used a special programme to change our photos into colouring in pages. We then used pencils to colour them in.

Vince and Nick K

As part of their reading activity this week, Vince and Nick have created shadow puppets and a stage
