The Boy and Dog by Camila

The Boy and Dog
The dog barked to tell the man in his house. The man went straight out of his house and went to help the girl from drowning. The boy threw the life saver to the girl. She grabbed the life saver and the boy dragged her in so she was safe.

The Superman Dive by Vince

The Superman Dive
One day a girl named Sophie decided to go for a swim. Sophie did a massive dive. She dived so deep that she hit the bottom of the pool. She had a sore head. Superman then came to rescue her.
“Are you alright” said Superman.
“Yes I’m alright” she said, “Thank you for rescuing me.”

The Super Man
One day a girl named Sophie decided to go for a swim. She jumped off the diving board. The boy jumped off the diving board too. He made a really big splash and everyone got wet, even the dog. After that they all went home to get dry.

Gummy Bear

In Room 6 we like the Gummy Bear Youtube clip. The Junior School teachers did this one for Lip Sync last year.

Homework

Well done to all the students that completed last week's homework and remembered to bring it today to be marked. A new homework sheet went out today as well as spelling for the rest of the term.

Remember homework sheets are always due in the following Monday. Spelling tests will be completed on this day also. There is no consequence for not completing sheet however there is a reward for those who do!

This is our presentation we did for our first Middle School assembly.

Week 4 News

This week we have been doing lots of things.

In maths we have been creating our own tally charts and bar graphs. We decided on a topic and then went and asked our class and Room 7 what their favourite was. We recorded it on tally graphs and then we presented it on a bar graphs.

As part of our topic we have been creating collages of our favourite things using magazines.

On Thursday we made body percussion beats with Mrs Marshall. It was lots of fun.

In fitness we have been playing tag games. The games we have played are Hug tag, Catch the Dragon and Rocket.

Today we are going to do buddy reading with Room 13.

Have a good weekend.

What is this?

As part of our oral language on Thursdays we do something called 'What is this'.
We get given a symbol and then we have to think about what it could be. Here is what we thought about today's symbol

Monday 11th February

Today we have been learning lots of things.

In Maths we are learning to collect data/information on a tally chart. This morning we did a tally chart of our favourite ice cream flavour. Chocolate and Goodie Goodie Gum drops were our favourite.

In Reading we read a big book called 'The Big Block of Chocolate'. It is a funny story about a
bar of chocolate that keeps getting taken by different animals.

In writing we were brainstorm about Syndicate Singing. We thought about the what, where, when, who, how, and why.

In topic we are learning about how we are all different and how that it is a good thing.
