Anchor Milk for Schools

Today was the first day we had our anchor milk. We will be having it 3 times a week and will drink it about 11am while we have our big book time. Today we had it while we listened to a big book on Oxford Owl website.

On Friday 7th  June it is mufti day. The children are asked to wear their house colour. There is no charge for this mufti day.

Yummy Cakes

A cake is a yummy thing that you can eat. It comes in yummy flavours like strawberry and raspberry.

A cake is something you can eat and decorate.

Mums and Grandmas bake cakes and Dads too. A cake can also come from a supermarket or a bakery shop.

You need lots of ingredients to make a cake like eggs, milk and flour.

Cakes are so yummy for birthdays.

Mischa's explanation about cakes

CAKES

A cake is a delicious after school treat that you can eat. It comes in different shapes, sizes and flavours like chocolate icing on top, or chocolate sponge with cream in the middle or hundreds and thousands sprinkled all over the top of the cake.

To make a cake you mix it together and put it in the oven. After an hour you take it out of the oven and let it cool down. Next you cut it up and serve.

Mums and Bakers bake cakes. Sometimes Dads bake cakes too.

Cakes are really yummy.

Arowhenua Marae Trip

On Wednesday we went on a bus with Room 8 to the Arowhenua Marae. It was so much fun. 

We had a powhiri and did a hongi and our mihi. We also made poi.
